Adoptions from Lee County Animal Shelter are free, however, you are REQUIRED to have the dog spayed/neutered. You must sign an Adoption Agreement, and a Spay/Neuter Agreement.
This dog has been in the shelter too long. Please visit her and find a home or a foster home or a rescue that can move this dog to a safe place.
- Adoption of dogs is open to residents of Lee, Scott, Wise, Russell, Washington County areas of Virginia.
- Adopters must sign a sterilization agreement to have the adopted pet spayed or neutered within 30 days of adoption.
- Adopters must return the proof of sterilization paperwork within seven (7) days of dog being spayed or neutered.
- Dogs that have been spayed/neutered are available for adoption to anyone including out of state residents.
- State law requires that all dogs and cats be vaccinated for rabies.
