Notes: Pistol Pete is an unclaimed stray. We are learning more about this big, energetic boy every day. He is a whole ball of energy, so a home with a securely fenced area where he can safely run and play would suit him best. He really could not care about cats or other dogs. He gives them a sniff and goes on about his business. He does enjoy barking at and with them, but when you have spent most of your life on a chain or in a cage, what else have you had to do?
Pete rides crated in the car and does not seem to mind traveling. We cannot say whether he is house trained, but he consistently uses the same spot in his kennel to potty. He has shown no food or territorial aggression. Pete LOVES belly rubs, kisses, and giving big hugs to anyone who lets him out of his kennel. Once he finishes eating or drinking, he enjoys a game of 'throw the bowl'. Pete tested positive for Lyme disease but has no symptoms. Pistol Pete is available for adoption through the Lee County Animal Shelter. A meet and greet is required if you have another pet.
